what an amazing gracious day to welcome the spring. justin and i began (just today) starting to institute the practice of welcoming this change of season as we would the new year….new years in the dead of winter has always felt a bit anti-climatic and the energy around it quickly fades…as most of us in these parts tend to head into a season of hibernation…it is more in keeping with the natural rhythms to intend new change around this emerging and fresh energy, when all the green is given another opportunity to begin again….so with that we ventured out into our favorite spot in the woods to welcome the new season…burning that which no longer serves us and ushering in generative and creative re-beginnings.

it has been so beautifully warm her for early spring in maine and we have been loving a bit more sunlight to enjoy in the afternoon.
life is full, and busy, the pace pretty quick…and i often have to remind myself to slow down, and enjoy the moments that are…
that is one reason i love the change of seasons…they remind me to really notice.

it is amazing how pulling out the art supplies can put a new spin on a morning that doesn’t quite start off on the right foot…we were all a bit grumpy this morning…and pausing to create a mutual space, where each of us found a way to tap into our own space to create and appreciate each other in our co-creation proved to be just the right solution…

i have recently connected with the world of flikr (inspired by this group) and have just begun inspiration found in this one…peek into my life…and here is a peek, at the breakfast table this morning, selah was inspired to re-arrange the flowers…it was a bit of a mess…and i managed to receive the flower she offered me gracefully (vs jumping up to grab a towel)..and was able to see the beauty in her (puddling) curiosity…
