thankful for music and how it colors my days.
we had a dance party in our living room last night…i really do love dancing.
blessed by brett dennen (mentioned and accessed here) is definitely among one of my favorites these days:
i welcome the sun
the clouds and rain
the wind that sweeps the sky clean and lets the sun shine again
this is the most magnificent life has ever been
here is heaven and earth and the brilliant sky in between
blessed is this life and I’m gonna celebrate being alive
blessed is this life and I’m gonna celebrate being alive
blessed is this life oh, and I’m gonna celebrate being alive
blessed is this life oh, and I’m gonna celebrate being alive
i dwell in the darkness
i let in the light
i sleep in the afternoon and become the noise in the night
i trespass in temptation suffer in sacrifice
but I awake each day with the new sunrise
blessed is this life oh, and I’m gonna celebrate being alive
blessed is this life oh, and I’m gonna celebrate being alive
blessed is this life oh, and I’m gonna celebrate being alive
blessed is this life oh, and I’m gonna celebrate being alive
i am also continuing this self-portrait venture…an experiment in wecoming the unfolding…
already it has proven to be a teacher…likening it to the experience a fish may have (observing in a new way the context in which it has been living and breathing for a lifetime)…
so here’s to an experiment in finding myself on the outside of this water in which i have been swimming…hoping to bring awareness to it, potentially getting to know it/me from a different angle…
thankful for water of all varieties
for now we find ourselves living in the woods on “eyes-In-glass” pond. one of my favorite things about being here has been watching the water with its many textured surfaces and changing faces with the weather and the wind. it was amazing to watch it slowly freeze in the winter, how we were able to walk upon it as a solid mass, and then witnessing the process of it melting until it seemingly became fully liquid again over night.
the evenings are my favorite, especially recently when jeremiah and justin take the canoe out and i can see their silhouette against the sunset skies, reflecting upon its still surface while listening to songs such as this one by brett dennen.
